Beauty of the shores in the Sultanate of Oman

Wadi Dayqah Dam

The following photos are of Wadi Dayqah Dam, which is located in the state of Quriyat which is about 110 km from the center of the capital Muscat.


The dam was officially opened today 27/03/2012

     
Wadi Dayqah dam is the largest dam projects in the Sultanate of Oman. It was designed and built to develop and sustain water resources. It was built according to the highest standards of engineering and world-class to ensure the safety aspects. Additionally, the estimated storage capacity of the dam lake is approximately 100 million cubic meters. The dam also provides about 35 million cubic meters of water annually.
